Sourcing dependable vendors
The complexity of the designs made wicker weavers hesitant to take on the project, creating significant challenges in finding a reliable partner willing to tackle the intricacies involved. This delay made it difficult to secure a brand capable of meeting the design and craftsmanship demands of the project.
Navigating manufacturing challenges
The delicate nature of wicker, combined with the rigidity and fragility of glass presented significant challenges in achieving proper joinery and stability for the furniture piece. To address this the design had to be adjusted to incorporate a stable internal support within the glass woven base, ensuring the structure could securely support the cane without compromising the aesthetics of the furniture.
